Thank you for applying to audition for The X Factor 2013.

We would love you to come to an open audition at:

ExCel, LONDON
Saturday 6th April 2013, 8am

You will need to prepare a verse and a chorus of one or more songs, acapella (i.e. without backing music or instruments) for your audition. Should you be successful, you will be invited back to the call back auditions where you will sing again. At every audition stage you will be asked to sing acapella, however, you are welcome to bring along a karaoke backing track on CD or a guitar but there will be no guarantee you'll be able to use it.
REMEMBER TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD!
Please wear bright-coloured clothing. Dress as the pop star you want to be - we are looking for the next big music sensation so make an impact. We also highly encourage everyone to bring along posters and banners to the open day - the brighter the better!

We're expecting a big turnout and auditions will be given on a first come, first served basis so get there early. We will endeavour to audition everyone. Please prepare for a long day. For the latest audition information, please go to itv.com/xfactor.

X Factor Auditions update

Are you looking to be the next James Arthur or Ella Henderson?

Are you interested in auditioning for the X Factor 2013? Well if you are, here’s what to do:
This link will send you straight to the website to get your application form-

Filling in the application form is quick, simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.
You can apply via the internet or send a video audition, it’s up to you. You can only apply over the internet if you have a valid email address. If you don’t, you’ll have to call the X Factor hotline on 0901 88 11 222 to apply instead. If you’re ringing on the X Factor Hotline, calls cost 26p per minute. These calls shouldn’t last more than 2 minutes.  You MUST ask the bill payer first!!

You will have to apply before the 15th of February 2013. If you are under the age of 16, you can’t apply unfortunately, but you can try another year! Oh, and make sure you read and agree to the terms & conditions before entering!

If you’re applying as a soloist, these are the steps to take:

Make sure you clicked on the soloist application form not the group form!

Fill in the form and you will get an email confirmation to keep so you know that they have received your application, the X Factor team will be in touch if you have been accepted.
It’s the same process if you’re applying in a group.

Good luck!

X Factor - Waiting For The Results Show

So we saw Rylan Camp it Up, we heard Union J say they performed worst and we learn this morning that Tulisa Contostavlos has cashed in her X Factor chips and bought herself a £6m Mansion in the British countryside.

But the procrastinating, speculation and rumour will all be put to bed tonight when we learn which two acts received the least amount of votes in the public phone poll.

For our money, Jahmene is solid, as is James Arthur - X Factor fans now know they have to phone in and vote to guarantee that their favourite act stays in the competition, Ella Henderson should have been a learning curve.

Union J also performed admirably, no great shakes but very strong vocals.

The two, weakest 'on paper', Chris and Rylan, were both the weakest in reality last night - Rylan does not have a strong voice and Chris Maloney looks less versatile by the week. Surely, with only five acts left, at least one, if not both of these popular, likable 'acts' will be in the bottom two come 8.45pm tonight.

The talent has been so strong this year, let's hope that this is the case for X Factor 2013 as well.

The Remaining X Factor Contestants

So, as we wait in anticipation for X Factor to grace our screens this evening, we thought it would be useful to give you a breakdown of the remaining finalists.

Jahmene Douglas:

Now the clear favourite to win and now since Ella Henderson's Exit, arguably the most talented contestant remaining on the show, Nicole will be expecting him to go straight through to X Factor Final in December. Possible comparisons to Joe McElderry of previous X Factor success.

James Arthur:

Again, another of Nicole's boys, another strong favourite to win - a real working class lad that adds an element of geniuine talent, attitude and refreshingly a completely independent, non-commerical vibe to his performances which really lends itself to the favour of the more 'x factor sceptic' viewers.

Rylan Clark:

Has been consistently tipped to get booted off the show week in week out but continues to defy the odds. Whilst not blessed with huge vocal talent, Rylan's persona and stage presence makes him and entertaining if not, amusing contestant. Clearly has a strong, core fan base but there are question marks over whether this gimmicky act can go much further.

Christopher Maloney:

Likable, everyman Christopher Maloney clearly has the whole of Liverpool backing him on to the X Factor final this year. Although, he would probably be most suited to a starring role on cruise ship entertainment teams or one of the leading lights of the northern club scene, Christopher has a very strong voice which papers over the cracks of an act that has a very limited singing range. An outside bet to reach the final three but will probably struggle this week.

Union J:

The act that has by far the biggest X Factor appeal, unfortunately, most of their fans are probably too young to vote! A boy band with some real singing talent and have definitely benefited from now being the only boy band left in the show. District 3 took lots of their voting base and since their exit, it would seem the road to the final three is fairly clear barring any major errors. Could genuinely challenge Jahmene/James for the winner's title.

Voting Figures To Be Made Public For X Factor 2013

In an attempt to give the show a major shake up for 2013, X Factor supremo, Simon Cowell has indicated that X Factor 2013 may publish the actual voting figures in a league table so people can be informed, in advance of a final result, how many votes each contestant is receiving.

This is apparently working well in the US version of the show at the moment and perhaps Simon feels that if X Factor can be as transparent as possible for X Factor 2013 it will restore some faith in the system, which has clearly been diminishing over recent weeks.

Not only has their been a loss of faith with some of the judges, read more about Tulisa's latest troubles with X Factor producers, but the integrity of the show has come under scrutiny as well

There was widespread shock when Ella Henderson was sent home last week.

Tulisa Hits Back At X Factor Critics!

X Factor judge, Tulisa Contostavlos has hit back at X Factor bosses who have been trying to convince her to curb her controversial, off-screen lifestyle after recent news reports have linked her Premiership Footballer Danny Simpson.

Understandably, given the controversy surrounding last week's deadlock result, which saw highly rated contestant, Ella Henderson, voted off, X Factor producers are keen to see their troublesome judge get back on to the straight and narrow and focus fully on the show.

The Daily Star reports that Tulisa used Twitter to publicly send out a message to all those people who have been scrutinising her private life over the past few weeks.

The X Factor judge tweeted to her followers earlier today,

"They want me 2 shut up … be a lifeless robot that plays their shallow media games … be everything that’s expected … a shadow of my former self. Not say what I think, feel or know, in the fear that they might destroy me 4 it.
“It takes serious balls to b this much in the public eye & scrutinised & still be myself..COMPLETELY! If u think u know me from what u read, u know nothin at all.
“So my message 4 the haters n the negative media is..as 4 shuttin up..NEVER GUNA HAPPEN!!! That’s what makes me tulisa!”
And she added: “SO U CAN ALL BITE ME!”

It would seem that this recent outburst has done nothing dispel the rumours that X Factor bosses may be looking to give Tulisa the boot for X Factor 2013.
